Wooden dough bowls were originally used for mixing, raising and kneading bread dough in the 1800s and 1900s. The dough bowls have been pretreated with a sealant for holding candles. Each wooden bowl is different with varying marks in the wood to make them unique.

Candle Burning Tips and Safety
Extend the life of your candles and safety tips:
- Trim the wick to 1/4” every time before you light your candle. This will help prevent soot and smoke and extend the life of the candle. A wick trimmer is a good tool for this.
- Trim the wick anytime when the candle flickers, smokes or you see soot forming on the glass container.
- Always read the warning label before lighting any candle.
- Please be sure to protect your furniture that could be damaged by the heat of any candle.
- Never move a burning candle. Wait for the candle to cool after blown out. The candle container and the wax can become extremely hot when in use.
- Never allow children to play with or around candles or matches.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended.
- Keep pets away from candles.
- Keep candles away from curtains or any fabric or material that can ignite.
- Never burn a candle under anything that is flammable such as kitchen cabinets.
